Bill started his career in the U.S. Air Force maintaining T-33s. His experience included support for the F-4s and F-16s for the Washington, D.C. Air National Guard while assigned to the 113th as well as the Boeing 727 (C-22) in the 201st. In 1990, he transferred to the U.S. Air Force Reserves 756th as a Flight Engineer for C-141s at Andrews Air Force Base. He retired from the Air Force in 2003.
Bill’s corporate experience began at Booz Allen Hamilton. At Booz Allen Hamilton, he provided engineering design and development support to Command and Control (C2) systems for the U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Navy Special Operations, Defense Information Systems Agency, White House Communications Agency, and White House Military Office.
Bill first supported programs for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) providing administrative management, engineering, and lifecycle support services for C2 systems for the Senior Leadership Travel Communications System to OSD and the National Communications Systems Architecture. In his tenure at CommIT, Bill developed information-centric solutions to provide trusted and actionable information to the warfighter, including rapid implementation of emerging technologies such as Open-Source Software (OSS) and developing the first four operational Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations. CommIT continues to build these capabilities to support the Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, and Veteran’s Administration customers.
Bill holds a M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
